Uzbekistan’s Para Taekwondo Athletes Receive Two Medals at World Championships

Uzbekistan’s para taekwondo athletes achieved success at the World Championships in Veracruz, Mexico, earning two medals on the opening day of the competition. This event, which has attracted more than 300 para taekwondo competitors from 90 countries, is a key factor in the ranking points for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Ziyoda Isokova, who competed in the 47-kilogram weight category, won a gold medal, and Lutfullo Qodirov, who competed in the 58-kilogram weight category, won a bronze medal. Seven para taekwondo athletes from Uzbekistan are still competing in the tournament, which will run until September 24.
