In accordance with the historic humanitarian values of the Turkmen people, the amicable and cordial relations between the two countries, and to continue the generous humanitarian activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Foundation for Aid to Needy Children, the President of Turkmenistan has issued an Order to send out assistance to the people of Afghanistan in response to the earthquake that happened in the Herat province on 7th October 2023. This aid will consist of medical supplies, food items, and textile products, and will be given free of charge.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also been assigned the task of organizing the delivery and transfer of the humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in October 2023.
