DUSHANBE, 07.01.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – Starting in 2025, Tajikistan will strengthen its supervision of heavy-duty vehicles on the roads.

In order to do so, changes have been made to the Road Transport Code, which now requires drivers to undergo weight and size inspections upon request from an official. If a vehicle is found to be overloaded, the shipper will face administrative penalties.

Compliance with these standards is also mandated by Article 52 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Roads and Road Activities”.

The regulations governing the road sector have been updated to promote the efficient use of roads, and all road users are expected to adhere to the established standards.
