President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of France Emmanuel Macron were treated to an exhibition of Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage. The display of artifacts, which provided an insight into the country’s long history and culture, was arranged in chronological order.
The exhibition was composed of seven different museums in Uzbekistan, and it depicted the formation of transcontinental connections and the influence of Turkic, Persian, Greco-Bactrian, Arab, Indian, Chinese, and other cultures on ancient monuments.
The exhibition was separated into three portions. The first portion focused on ancient states, the Silk Road, and the Kushan Empire, and included sculptures, gold pieces, and coins. Some of these objects were uncovered during a combined expedition by Uzbekistan and French researchers.
The second part of the exhibition highlighted the flourishing of art, culture, roads, and caravans in antiquity and the Middle Ages.
The third segment was devoted to the spread of Islam and the growth of culture and science in Central Asia during the Renaissance and Temurids. Here, visitors could learn about the works of prominent scholars such as Muhammad Musa Al-Khwarizmi, Abu Ali ibn Sina, Abu Rayhan Beruni, Imam Bukhari, Mirzo Ulugbek, and Alisher Navoi. The part was centered around the figure of Amir Temur and included ornamental objects from the period as well as a letter from the King of France to Sahibkiran.
The President of France and his team were highly impressed by the exhibition.
