On October 1, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed Moutaz Al Khayyat, Chairman of Power International Holding, to his residence in Doha. Power International is a major diversified corporation with operations in 19 countries in the energy, petrochemical, industrial, agricultural, transport infrastructure, healthcare, tourism, and other sectors.
The two discussed the development of a full-scale partnership, including the construction of a modern livestock cluster in Jizzakh region, the establishment of a high-speed highway, the increased production of ammonia and urea, the development of a modern business and hotel infrastructure, and healthcare facilities in Uzbekistan.
Additionally, the Qatari side announced that they will be opening an office in Uzbekistan in the near future.
