On Friday, Kumho Tire Co. announced its third-quarter net income of 33.3 billion won (US$24.6 million), a major improvement from the 33.7 billion won loss experienced the year prior. The company’s operating profit for the quarter was also revealed to be 96.2 billion won, a significant jump from the 2.3 billion won earned the year before. Sales, however, remained flat at 977.5 billion won.
