On Thursday, BGF Retail Co. reported a third-quarter net profit of 70 billion won (US$52.1 million), a 1 percent increase from the same period in the previous year.
The company disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating income for July-September was 87 billion won, a 4.9 percent drop from the same period in the previous year, while revenue rose 7.4 percent to 2.2 trillion won.
According to a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency, the operating profit was in line with the average prediction, though no forecast of net profit was available.
