The 113th Session of the International Labour Organization (ILO) is currently taking place in Geneva.

During the conference, Tanzila Narbayeva, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Chairperson of the National Commission on Combating Human Trafficking and Forced Labour, held a meeting with ILO Director General Gilbert Houngbo.

The discussion focused on the current and future collaboration between Uzbekistan and the ILO, including various important initiatives and ongoing projects.

Specifically, the meeting highlighted the consistent implementation of the annual agreements signed with the ILO in areas such as the environment, labor rights, and others.

Moreover, it was emphasized that the reforms being implemented as part of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy fully align with the ILO’s priority areas and principles.

The participants also exchanged views on the implementation of the National Decent Work Program for 2021-2025.
