On October 16, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev traveled to Samarkand region to attend the anniversary session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization.
Upon arrival, the President of Uzbekistan visited the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari. Prayers from the Quran and supplications were recited.
The restoration of the complex is currently ongoing. The President was informed of the progress of construction and finishing work.
During the visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will address the opening ceremony of the UNWTO Summit. He will also meet with the Secretary-General of the organization Zurab Pololikashvili and get acquainted with the tourism industry exhibition.
