On Tuesday, LG Uplus announced its net income for the three-month period ending September was 156.7 billion won, a decline of 8.3 percent compared to the same period the year prior. Operating income for the July-September period also dropped 10.8 percent year-on-year to 254.3 billion won, while revenue rose 2.3 percent to 3.58 trillion won.
The figures were below market expectations, with analysts forecasting a net profit of 169.7 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency.
