On Tuesday, Statistics Korea reported that South Korea’s industrial output rose for the second consecutive month in September, in part due to the semiconductor sector’s turnaround. The output increased 1.1 percent compared to the previous month and 2.8 percent from the same time last year.
The chip industry was the driving force behind this growth, experiencing a 12.9 percent increase from August. Additionally, retail sales saw a slight 0.2 percent rise and facility investment rose 8.7 percent.
