Yandex Go now offers the option to rent electric scooters through their mobile app. The app will automatically slow down the scooters in crowded areas and provide safety reminders. According to Yandex Go, users are given 10 minutes of free walking time to reach the scooter after booking. The cost of the trip starts at 890 UZS per minute and users can also purchase packages for 30 minutes (20990 UZS), 50 minutes (32990 UZS), or 100 minutes (61990 UZS). Payment is made automatically through the linked card in the app. To use the scooter rental service, users must update the Yandex Go app to the latest version.
Before starting the trip, users will receive simple instructions on how to safely use the scooters. In areas with high foot traffic, the scooters will automatically slow down. These zones are marked on the app’s map. The scooters will smoothly decrease in speed until they come to a complete stop in areas where riding is prohibited.
Users can book up to three scooters at a time through the app, which is convenient for ordering for friends or family. This can be done either through the “One More” button in the app or by scanning the QR code on the scooter. The number of scooters available for trips in Tashkent will gradually increase.
For safe and comfortable use, only one person should be on the scooter at a time. The minimum age for renting and riding electric scooters is 18. Users are insured for their safety and well-being while riding a Yandex Go scooter.
