The Space Research and Technology Agency (Uzbekspace) was established by the Cabinet of Ministers in accordance with the Decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On the development of space activities in the Republic of Uzbekistan” of August 30, 2019.
The Agency is responsible for developing and executing a unified state policy and strategic directions in space research and technology.
At the 74th International Astronautical Congress in Baku, it was announced that the Uzbekspace Agency had joined the International Astronautical Federation as a full member.
