Uzbekistan’s Democratic Reforms Receive Support from OSCE Chairman-in-Office

The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, welcomed the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia, Bujar Osmani. During their meeting, they discussed the possibility of further strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE. Topics such as inter-parliamentary relations, human rights, environmental protection, and achieving sustainable development were discussed.

The two parties also discussed the potential of enhancing cooperation within the framework of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. They discussed the green economy, climate change, gender equality, and joint activities to combat human trafficking and forced labor.

Bujar Osmani expressed his support of the ongoing democratic renewal and socio-economic reforms taking place in Uzbekistan and expressed his readiness to contribute to the further development of cooperation. Norgul Abduraimova, UzA
