Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Andorra presents copies of credentials to Andorra’s Foreign Minister

Farrukh Tursunov, who serves as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Spain and is also accredited to Andorra, officially handed over copies of his credentials to Imma Tor Faus, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra. During the meeting, the two parties discussed potential areas for collaboration between their respective countries. Minister Faus commended Uzbekistan’s recent reforms and acknowledged its role as a major contributor to the development of Central Asia. The discussions also focused on Uzbekistan’s close partnership with Afghanistan, which includes practical aid in areas such as humanitarian and social support, women’s rights, and educational programs for Afghan youth. Minister Faus highlighted the significance of Uzbekistan’s initiatives within international organizations, particularly in regards to environmental and climate change issues. She also expressed her belief that the appointment of Uzbekistan’s first Ambassador to Andorra would strengthen cooperation in various fields, such as trade and economics, tourism (specifically mountain tourism), and cultural exchange. As a result of the meeting, Minister Faus confirmed Andorra’s commitment to sending high-level representatives to upcoming international events in Uzbekistan, such as sessions of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and UNESCO. Furthermore, she expressed her intention to visit Uzbekistan in the near future. This information was officially announced by the Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA).
