During the 11th meeting of the Council on Industrial Policy of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which took place on June 4 in Dushanbe, Sherali Kabir, the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan, presented Ilkhom Nematov with the “Honored Industrial Worker of the Republic of Tajikistan” medal. Nematov was recognized for his contributions to promoting international relations in the real sector of the economy among CIS member states.
In his opening remarks, CIS Deputy Secretary General Ilkhom Nematov highlighted the organization’s 35-year history of fostering positive relationships and cooperation among member states in various areas such as politics, economics, and humanitarian efforts. He also emphasized the importance of equal partnership and mutual benefits in these collaborations.
Nematov also mentioned that the Council on Industrial Policy had presented several important issues to the highest authorities of the CIS for consideration, including the development of the mining and metallurgical industries, chemical industry, oil and gas engineering, and the use of natural gas as a motor fuel.
During the meeting, the Council approved draft versions of the Concept for the Digital Transformation of the Mining and Metallurgical Industries of the CIS and its corresponding Action Plan. They also reviewed draft versions of the Concept for the Development of Cooperation among CIS Member States in the Production of Advanced Materials for High-Tech Industries and its implementation plan.
