The Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan launched the Azerbaijani Culture and Poetry Week with a presentation of a five-language encyclopedic publication called “Shusha – the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World” and a grand concert featuring Azerbaijani artists at the State Institute of Art and Culture.
The participants visited the Azerbaijan Center for Culture and Art, set up at the Institute, and viewed the display of photo books on various topics.
Rector of the Institute, Eldor Shermanov, noted that the historical cultural ties between the two nations are at their peak and praised the Cultural Center in Uzbekistan for its important role in this.
Samir Abbasov, Director of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Uzbekistan, commented that the heads of state have been making great efforts and showing great will in this regard, stressing the special role of Shusha as a bridge between the cultures of the Turkic world and introducing the projects implemented by the Center in the region.
The artistic part of the event featured national mugams performed by renowned singers and winners of international competitions, who were invited from Azerbaijan.
