Uzbek para-athletes made a strong showing at the 4th Asian Para Games, taking home 20 gold, 19 silver, and 23 bronze medals. Nurkhon Kurbonova won gold in the women’s javelin throw F54 class, setting a new Asian Para Games record of 18.95 meters. Asila Mirzayorova earned a bronze medal in the T11 class 200-meter race after having won gold in the long jump competition. Javokhir Tashkhojayev, UzA’s Deputy Director for Sport and Physical Education, shared his delight at the team’s accomplishments.
