The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan, paid a visit to Uzbekistan. He was welcomed by Sodiq Safoyev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
The discussion focused on the rapid development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates. It was highlighted that mutual trust between the countries’ leaders plays a significant role in the relations.
Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan informed about the international non-governmental organization he heads, which seeks to foster collaboration mainly with national parliaments to promote tolerance and peace.
The rich cultural and historical heritage and centuries-old traditions of tolerance, as well as the changes taking place in the country in all areas, were noted to be key elements in intensifying the partnership between the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and Uzbekistan.
“We are also aware of the leading role of Uzbekistan in all processes in Central Asia”, Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Jarwan stated. “It is the new foreign policy of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev that made it possible to overcome the crisis of trust. Common approaches for the region are being built around the ideas and initiatives of the Leader of Uzbekistan, which is very consonant with the goals of our organization”.
After the meeting, an agreement was reached to reinforce the collaboration between Uzbekistan and the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace.
