The Prime Minister of Mongolia, Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene, welcomed a delegation from Uzbekistan to Bishkek for a meeting at the Ala Archa State Residence. The purpose of the gathering was to discuss potential future initiatives to implement agreements made at the highest level.
The Uzbekistan representatives highlighted the importance of signing a program to develop trade and economic cooperation, as well as suggested hosting the inaugural meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission and Uzbekistan – Mongolia Business Forum in Tashkent. Other topics discussed included the development of cooperation in agriculture, industrial cooperation, trade, transport and logistics, tourism, ecology, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
It was noted that the current trade turnover between the two countries does not match their potential, and there is potential to increase the volume multiple times in the coming years.
