The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Uzbekistan, Leonid Marinich, recently shared with the STV television channel that the two countries are working together on pharmaceuticals and light industry projects. He noted that they are creating a vertical complex in Smorgon to produce cotton yarn and derived products, which will be the first of its kind in Belarus to use raw materials from Uzbekistan. Additionally, they are constructing a plant to manufacture probiotics. Trade is also blooming, as Belarusian dairy products are sought after in Uzbekistan’s retail stores, and the local market is open to Belarusian bread and bread kvass. Furthermore, Uzbekistan is backing Belarus on international platforms, leading to excellent and impressive cooperation results. Both countries are aiming for even more growth.
