At the Summit in Jeddah, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed the initiation of a conference of foreign ministers from Central Asian countries and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

Speaking at the «Central Asia-Gulf Cooperation Council» Summit, the head of state remarked that the present international political atmosphere in several regions, including areas neighboring Central Asia and the GCC member states, is quite complicated.

According to the President of Turkmenistan, these conditions necessitate the participants of the Summit to join forces and provide a suitable answer to the existing global issues and threats.

«For this reason, we believe it would be beneficial to create a permanent mechanism – the Conference of Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian countries and the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf», –Serdar Berdimuhamedov underlined.
