In accordance with the decree of the President of Uzbekistan focusing on the successful and timely implementation of the “Uzbekistan-2030” Strategy by 2023, the value-added tax refund system for individuals and organizations will be extended from January 1, 2024.
Specifically, foreign travelers will be able to benefit from a full VAT refund for goods purchased in Uzbekistan and issued with the “tax-free” system at the country’s international airports. Tour operators, meanwhile, will be able to get a full VAT refund for export services under contracts with foreign partners.
