During a visit to the United States on September 18, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the President and CEO of GE HealthCare for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Rob Walton, to discuss the possibility of collaborating on projects in Uzbekistan.
General Electric, a global industrial giant, is looking to increase investment and technological cooperation with enterprises in Uzbekistan, including the supply and localization of modern, advanced equipment.
Rob Walton of GE HealthCare stated that the corporation intends to manufacture cardiographs, introduce screening programs, and create a cardiac information system. Additionally, the investor has expressed interest in establishing the National Archive of Medical Data in Uzbekistan.
The parties have agreed to draft an action plan to implement joint projects.
GE HealthCare, a medical technology company based in Chicago and owned by General Electric, has assets totaling around $28 billion.
