Akramjon Nematov Emphasizes the Significance of Increasing Uzbekistan-Türkiye Cooperation through Industrial Collaboration

At a gathering devoted to enhancing relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, Akramjon Nematov, First Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISRS), underscored the importance of the meeting. He emphasized that the two countries have formed a comprehensive strategic alliance in recent years.

The ISRS representative said that the two nations have a multifaceted relationship that covers all areas and is based on mutual trust, respect, and consideration of each other’s interests. He also declared that they coordinate their actions, give each other support, and join forces to achieve common objectives.

Nematov explained that the capacity of cooperation with Türkiye can contribute to the modernization of the national economy and the preservation of high rates of growth in Uzbekistan. He also indicated that the development of industrial collaboration and the creation of trans-regional connectivity between Türkiye and Central Asia are essential directions for deepening the partnership.

The expert further pointed out the need for cooperation in the transport and communication sphere, which can bring extra economic profits. He also remarked that the most pressing issues are the search for new markets and the formation of new transit and transport routes.

Nematov concluded that Uzbekistan can be a significant land corridor providing Türkiye’s access to the EAEU, China, and South Asia markets, while Türkiye can become a gateway for Uzbekistan to European markets. He added that they have already started implementing projects within the framework of major transport corridors along the East-West, North-South lines.
