The State Academic Grand Theater of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi recently hosted the grand finale of the Competizione dell’ Opera 2023 – International Italian Opera Singing Competition. This event was held in accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On measures for the further development of opera and ballet art” of December 27, 2021, with the purpose of introducing the public to the best national and classical works of opera.
Participants from Türkiye, South Korea, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and various other countries competed in the competition. The Grand Prix was awarded to Khojanazar Jumayev from Uzbekistan, while Yunho Hwan from South Korea was declared the winner of the first place. Yulia Nikanorova from Russia and Aminzoda Jumaniyazov from Uzbekistan were the recipients of the second and third places respectively. The victors were given certificates, trophies, and monetary awards.
