The Food Fest Uzbekistan 2025 Exhibition Opens in Pakistan

A momentous inauguration ceremony was held for the national food expo, Food Fest Uzbekistan 2025, in the capital city of Pakistan. The exhibition was jointly organized by the Uzbekistan Embassy and the Agency of Plant Protection and Quarantine at Centaurus Mall, the largest shopping center in Islamabad. The event was graced by officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce, representatives from Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Chakwal, as well as over 30 diplomatic missions, including ambassadors from various Central Asian countries, Russia, Belarus, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Portugal, Sri Lanka, Yemen, Indonesia, and others. The exhibition also attracted prominent entrepreneurs, media personnel, bloggers, and members of the public. In his opening address, Ambassador Alisher Tukhtayev highlighted the recent official visit of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Uzbekistan on February 25-26 and his discussions with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The Ambassador emphasized that the food exhibition is the first event organized in a new format following the high-level visit and is a part of the action plan for 2025-2026 to promote mutual understanding of the two countries’ economies. The exhibition showcased 25 food manufacturers from Uzbekistan, including Ro’zmetov, Sladus, VIKO, SQ, Paradise, Ermak, Natural Juice, and others, and was attended by more than 60,000 people on the first day. The event also includes planned meetings between the Uzbekistan entrepreneurs and representatives from Pakistan’s Department of Plant Protection, Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Centaurus Mall management, and executives from major wholesale and retail chains such as Islamabad Cash & Carry, Metro, Punjab Cash & Carry, Save Mart, Hatim, and others.
