A gathering of representatives from the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the automotive industry of Uzbekistan, VUM dealer companies, partners, and members of the public was held to celebrate the start of the new plant in Andijan, which will be producing FAW brand trucks. Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov, the Hokim of Andijan region, and Hu Hanjie, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of FAW TRUCKS of China, both extended their congratulations to the attendees. It was highlighted that this enterprise would generate economic growth, and supply the country with necessary freight transport.
Vodiy Universal-Majmua LLC and the FAW Group of China have jointly invested $15 million to build this facility, which will be able to turn out 4 thousand vehicles with a weight capacity of more than 5 tons each year. These modern and comfortable trucks will be sold both domestically and exported to nearby countries. When the plant is working at full capacity, it will provide 400 individuals with permanent employment.
