On 14 August 2023, Dushanbe witnessed the launch of 490 new industrial enterprises, creating 2400 new job opportunities in a bid to boost industrialization, augment production and provide the market with competitive domestic products.
In the first half of 2023, the industrial output was estimated at 20.7 billion somoni, with the growth rate reaching 10.3%. This growth was largely driven by the 14.2% rise in manufacturing production, 7.3% surge in the mining industry and 13.6% increase in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air purification.
