DUSHANBE, 02.12.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – The Ministry of Agriculture has reported that Tajikistan has increased its exports of rose hips by 97 tons compared to the previous year, reaching a total of 1,288 tons over 8 months.
In 2023, the Forestry Agency planted 150 hectares of rose hip orchards, with an expected yield of 4-8 tons per hectare according to experts.
Tajikistan is home to 18 out of 400 varieties of rose hips grown worldwide, making it a profitable crop for the country’s forestry industry along with pistachios and nuts.
