DUSHANBE, 03.12.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Hokim Kholikzoda, and the Ambassador of the European Union to Tajikistan, Raimundas Karoblis, have officially signed a Financing Agreement aimed at promoting a “green” economy through the development of a cotton value chain.

As per the terms of the agreement, the EU will provide a grant of €19,880,000 to Tajikistan to support the agricultural sector and encourage the use of digital technologies, with the goal of promoting economic growth, employment, and innovation in specific industries.
