DUSHANBE, 20.02.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Tajikistan, Luis Francisco, on February 19.
The Committee reported that the two parties discussed ways to enhance collaboration in the tourism industry and support the private sector in participating in international tourism exhibitions in each other’s countries.
The meeting also focused on the tourism potential of both nations and the goal of increasing the number of tourists from both sides.
Tajikistan’s potential was highlighted, including its stunning and unique nature, rich history and culture, traditional cuisine, and customs that may attract European tourists, particularly those from Spain.
On February 18, the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development, Jamshed Jumakhonzoda, also met with the Director of the Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED), Jan Severe.
The meeting centered on strengthening cooperation with a non-profit organization, the French Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development.
The parties also shared their perspectives on improving infrastructure and promoting tourism opportunities in Tajikistan, which have caught the attention of tourists and travelers.
