DUSHANBE, 19.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Agency for Innovation and Technology under the President of Tajikistan and the National Development and Reform Commission of China, during a meeting between the President of Tajikistan and the President of China in Astana. This Memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence and establish a Joint Working Group to effectively implement its provisions.

The signing of this Memorandum reflects the recognition of the importance of artificial intelligence in global development and the desire to further friendly relations between Tajikistan and China. The document’s main objective is to enhance cooperation in the field of AI, promote economic development, and ensure high-quality growth.

The two countries have committed to working together based on principles of human-centric development and responsible use of AI for the betterment of society. They have also agreed to establish a permanent intergovernmental dialogue mechanism on artificial intelligence and deepen cooperation in building the necessary infrastructure for its development.

Moreover, both parties will collaborate on advanced AI technologies, natural language processing, and technical exchanges. They will also support the development of professional expertise through cooperation among universities, research institutions, and enterprises in both countries.
