DUSHANBE, 24.05.2024 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The governments of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan have been instructed to closely monitor the successful implementation of the Intergovernmental Action Plan on Economic Cooperation until 2025.
The President of Tajikistan stated during a press conference after meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, that the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation will now be co-chaired by deputy prime ministers in order to improve its effectiveness. They also discussed strengthening interparliamentary dialogue.
The President also mentioned the possibility of Azerbaijani companies and financial institutions participating in priority projects and programs in Tajikistan.
The business forum held in Baku during the visit showcased the potential for further development of trade and economic ties between the two countries.
It is important to note that over 700 million US dollars worth of commercial contracts and agreements were signed at the forum.
