The Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan has released the latest figures for the total number of businesses and organizations in the healthcare and social services sector as of September 1, 2023. The total stands at 10,726 units.
The breakdown of the number of enterprises and organizations by region is as follows: Tashkent city – 2,052 units; Fergana region – 1,176 units; Samarkand region – 996 units; Andijan region – 967 units; Tashkent region – 869 units; Kashkadarya region – 793 units; Bukhara region – 778 units; Namangan region – 693 units; Khorezm region – 607 units; Karakalpakstan – 486 units; Surkhandarya region – 433 units; Navoi region – 353 units; Jizzakh region – 332 units; and Syrdarya region – 191 units.
