DUSHANBE, 11.12.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – A protocol of negotiations for the development of solar power plants and energy storage systems in Sughd and Gorno-Badakhshon Autonomous Regions was signed by Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma and Director General of the Industrial Technology Department of the Korea Institute of Technology, Lim Byung Hyuk.
The purpose of this agreement is to improve the electricity supply for residents of these regions.
Under the terms of the protocol, the plan is to construct solar power plants with a capacity of 6 MW and energy storage systems with a capacity of 1 MW/h.
The proposed project includes a 3 MW solar power plant with a 0.5 MW/h energy storage system in Sughd region, as well as a 3 MW solar power plant with a 0.5 MW/h energy storage system in Gorno-Badakhshon Autonomous Region.
