JSC Uzbekenergota’mir has recently entered into agreements with Chinese electric power companies such as State Grid, CNTIC, and China XD in order to modernize the electric power industry of Uzbekistan. These deals will enable the introduction of up-to-date digital technologies to the system of high-voltage power transmission networks in Uzbekistan and the creation of new jobs. Additionally, cogeneration facilities will be set up in Mirabad, Mirzo Ulugbek, Shaykhontokhur, Yunusabad, Yashnabad, and Uchtepa districts of Tashkent to fulfill the capital’s need for electricity and thermal energy.
Furthermore, an agreement has been made with Xian XD Electric Engineering of the concern China XD Electric and JSC Uzbekenergota’mir to localize the production of highly efficient and modern import-substituting power equipment and devices for the modernization and reconstruction of power plants in Uzbekistan. This will also help to improve the professional skills of young specialists and employees of JSC Uzbekenergota’mir, who will work alongside Chinese specialists in the construction and adjustment works.
