The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has been invited to Dushanbe by President Emomali Rahmon of the Republic of Tajikistan to attend a Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Summit of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea on September 14-15.
The fifth meeting of Central Asian leaders will focus on strengthening multifaceted cooperation in the region, including the development of political dialogue, promotion of joint trade, investment, transport, energy, agricultural, ecological, and cultural-humanitarian initiatives, as well as responding to modern security challenges and threats.
The anniversary meeting of the founding states of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea will discuss regional partnership in the management and rational use of water resources, and the improvement of the Fund’s activities.
At the conclusion of the events, several multilateral documents are expected to be adopted.
