The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is scheduled to make a working visit to Beijing, China on October 17-18th at the invitation of President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping. The Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation will be held during the visit, which will focus on increasing trade and economic relations, improving transportation and communication links, and advancing green development and digitalization projects.
At the forum, President Mirziyoyev will give a keynote address and share his thoughts on the current state of international cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative. The program of the visit also includes meetings with President Xi Jinping and Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Wang Huning, as well as other bilateral meetings.
