The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with the Chairman of the China Energy Engineering Corporation, Song Hailiang, in China. The leading Chinese corporation, China Energy, is renowned for its expertise in designing and constructing modern energy, infrastructure, and industrial facilities, and its assets exceed $150 billion.
At the meeting, the company’s involvement in the technological modernization of the energy sector of Uzbekistan was highly praised. China Energy is currently working on projects to construct solar and wind power plants in Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions, as well as a heating station in Syrdarya region. The company also plans to participate in constructing a hybrid power plant in Navoi region. In September of this year, modern cement production was jointly launched in Samarkand region.
The potential for partnership with China Energy was discussed, including the modernization of infrastructure facilities, the creation of energy storage systems, and the training of qualified specialists within the framework of the Industry Development Program 2030. In addition, collaboration in the water sector and the implementation of joint projects in various industries were given particular attention.
At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was made to prepare a comprehensive program to extend mutually beneficial cooperation.
