At the Silk Road Samarkand Complex, a gathering was held to display the tourism capability of the ancient Chinese city of Xi’an. This event was organized to promote collaboration between the two cities in the area of culture and tourism.
The deputy head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Xi’an, Zuo Dong, expressed his wish to revive the ties between the two ancient cities on the Great Silk Road. He highlighted the significance of Samarkand in the global society, and the abundant history and culture of Xi’an which includes six historical sites that are part of the world’s cultural legacy.
The national dances of Xi’an were showcased at the event, comprising of masterpieces of songs and dances of the Tang dynasty, as well as samples of Uzbek national art. The Department of Culture and Tourism of Xi’an also organized a drawing of prizes and trips to Xi’an with accommodation in the best hotels.
