Residents of Sokh district, a part of Fergana region, have seen a surge of development work in recent years to improve the quality of life and economic opportunities. In order to end the water supply problems in Sokh, 274 kilometers of new water lines are being laid and 30 drinking water facilities will be built and reconstructed. Furthermore, 185 projects in the service sector are planned to create 730 jobs. Additionally, the unused agricultural land is being developed, irrigation and reclamation measures are being implemented, and animal husbandry, including poultry and fish farming, is being expanded. A unique experimental school for growing potatoes has also been established in the area.
