On March 20, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev conducted an inspection of ongoing development and improvement projects in Tashkent. Thanks to the favorable investment climate in the country, the private sector’s share in the economy is increasing, with foreign direct investments being attracted and promising projects being implemented in various sectors. One such project is the High Town City complex, located in the Yunusabad district of the capital, which includes a shopping and entertainment center, business center, hotel, and modern residential complexes. The President toured the complex, which can accommodate 5,000 visitors per day and has created 1,500 jobs. He emphasized the economic significance of the facility and its convenience for residents, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting investors and entrepreneurs. The President also encouraged the promotion of national brands and their expansion into international markets. During the visit, the President also welcomed the opening of a bookstore in the shopping center and suggested the organization of compact bookstores in public places to promote a culture of reading. The President also interacted with children in the play area and stressed the importance of investing in the country’s future by providing quality education and promoting intellectual and creative development. The complex will soon include a 24-story five-star hotel with modern amenities and a project to construct new residential buildings in the area. The President also reviewed plans for expanding public transportation, including the metro network, and instructed officials to reassess the initial proposals and present alternative options. Under the revised plan, 10 new stations will be constructed, serving 30 neighborhoods and providing transportation for 148,000 residents. Additionally, the Bektemir district will see the construction of high-rise residential and commercial buildings near the Chirchiq River, aiming to accelerate urbanization and establish a new urban center.
