The President took part in the joyful festivities in the mahalla as Navruz is being enthusiastically celebrated throughout the country. On March 20, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Rohat mahalla in Bektemir district and joined in the festivities. The mahalla is home to 4,000 residents and is known for its service and trade sectors. With the implementation of a new employment system and the involvement of banks, the mahalla is effectively utilizing its internal resources. Last year, nearly 100 residents were employed, 256 became self-employed, and 13 started their own businesses. Additionally, there are two manufacturing enterprises and multiple trade and service outlets that provide convenience for the local community. The President inspected the operations of these enterprises. The mahalla also boasts well-maintained streets, clean homes, educational and medical institutions, sports facilities, training centers, an amphitheater, and a handicraft and library information center. The senior citizens’ center is lively during this time. During the Sumalak celebration, the President warmly engaged with the residents and senior community members. They discussed plans for the year ahead, including promoting peace and stability, supporting entrepreneurship, and creating new job opportunities. The President expressed his satisfaction with the well-maintained mahalla and the positive attitude of its residents. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and unity, highlighting the progress made in addressing issues at the local level. The mahalla of Rohat has quality education facilities, such as a general education school, a children’s music and art school, the “Barkamol Avlod” center, and an academic lyceum. A new preschool has recently been completed, providing early childhood development opportunities.
