The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan discussed recent matters on the agenda for further strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries during a telephone conversation on July 24.
The Tajik leader congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday and wished peace, well-being, and prosperity to the Uzbek people.
The leaders talked about preparing for upcoming high-level events and filling the agenda of bilateral relations with practical content.
They both agreed on the importance of intensifying business and humanitarian contacts, including organizing joint exhibitions and fairs and cultural and sports events with the participation of young people.
They also discussed issues of regional collaboration, such as the Consultative meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.
