In anticipation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s upcoming state visit to France, a forum focused on tourism between Uzbekistan and France was held in Paris. The event, organized by Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee, included a presentation titled “Uzbekistan – The Pearl of the Silk Road.” Representatives from the French tourism administration, businesses from both countries, the diplomatic corps, and media were in attendance. The main objective of the forum was to strengthen tourism ties between the two countries, promote partnerships among entrepreneurs, and increase the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan.
During the forum, participants were informed about the potential for tourism development in Uzbekistan, including plans for modernizing infrastructure and creating comfortable conditions for tourists. Uzbekistan Airways also provided information on logistical opportunities, current flight routes, and future plans for expanding its flight network. Opportunities for cooperation were discussed and agreements were signed to increase the flow of tourists.
French tour operators were also given detailed information on Uzbekistan’s tourism reforms and rich cultural heritage. The forum also included a cultural program featuring traditional Uzbek songs and dances, as well as a chance to experience Uzbek cuisine.
