Tajikistan’s Pavilion at the Expo 2023 Doha has been visited by over 500,000 guests, as part of the state visit of President Emomali Rahmon to Qatar on January 21, 2024.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from Tajikistan and Qatar, as well as embassies, private sector, business and investment circles from both countries. The Expo 2023 Doha, which is spread over 1.7 million square meters, has participation from more than 80 countries.

During the opening ceremony, the national anthems of Tajikistan and Qatar were played and the state flags of both countries were raised at the pavilion’s main entrance.

Tajikistan’s pavilion, covering an area of 800 square meters, showcases various products such as fruits, dried fruits, vegetables, honey, medicinal plants, and water from Tajikistan. The pavilion is also adorned with traditional Tajik ornaments and displays folk crafts like carpentry and wood carving.

Outside the pavilion, a Tajik garden has been created where trees from Tajikistan have been planted as a symbol of friendship between the two countries.

The pavilion, named “Water for Sustainable Development,” highlights President Emomali Rahmon’s international initiatives on water and climate issues. It also showcases Tajikistan’s efforts in the field of water and climate, particularly in green energy production.

The exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan.

Every day, more than 2,000 people visit the pavilion to see examples of horticulture, viticulture, energy, tourism, production facilities, and Tajik folk crafts.

The Expo 2023 Doha, which started on October 2, 2023, will continue until March 28, 2024.
