The agricultural sector in Oltiariq district is booming, with farmers growing grapes, apricots, peaches, apples, cucumbers, and radishes in high demand both locally and abroad. As a result, the district is planning to export 67,000 tons of grapes this year. To make this possible, 83 refrigerated warehouses with a capacity of 68.3 thousand tons have been constructed. The total cost of the exported goods is estimated to reach almost $100 million by the end of the year.
Adkhamjon Abdurakhmonov, an entrepreneur, has been investing in a horticultural farm and a transport and logistics center, as well as installing a cold store with a capacity of 3,000 tons, using the technology of Germany and the Netherlands. The farm is sending the best fruits and vegetables to the warehouse, and from winter to summer, they are being exported to the CIS countries.
In addition, 70 modern vehicles intended for long-distance cargo transportation have been purchased, and the operation of the transport and logistics center “Utkirman Trans” was launched. About 100 jobs have been created on the farm, and an average of 1200-1300 tons of agricultural products are delivered to the CIS market monthly. Research is underway to export selected vegetables and fruits grown in the area to Europe and the Arab countries.
The entrepreneur also plans to establish industrial processing of grapes, and produce grape juice in ecological packaging.
