SEOUL, Aug. 10 (Yonhap) — NHN Corp. announced on Thursday that its second-quarter net profit was 15.4 billion won (US$11.7 million), a reversal from its 5.3 billion won loss in the same period last year.
The company revealed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the quarter was 20.9 billion won, an increase from 5.2 billion won in the previous year. Revenue was also up 7.8 percent to 551.4 billion won.
According to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency, the operating profit was 11.5 percent higher than the average forecast. There was no available estimate for the net profit. (END)
