Naver Pay now available in 8 additional Asian countries and regions

SEOUL, Nov. 2 (Yonhap) — South Korean tech giant Naver Corp. announced Thursday that its mobile payment service, Naver Pay, has been launched in eight more countries and regions across Asia. The service is now accessible in stores affiliated with Union Pay via QR code in Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macao, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.

The service had already been implemented in China and Japan in September. Naver stated that it intends to further increase the service’s reach in other countries in collaboration with its partners, including BC Card Co. and Union Pay.
